Virkelyst is a series of modern outdoor furniture with the seating comfort of indoor furniture. The simple wooden frame strikes a contrast with the thick, soft cushions. Able to withstand wind and weather, the upholstery fabrics are Oeko-Tex certified and extremely color and lightfast as well as water and dirt-repellent and even mildew-resistant. The cushion dries quickly even after heavy downpour, as the foam has an open-cell structure that allows both water and air to pass through.

Teak is a heavy, hard and sturdy wood type. The high content of natural oils makes it highly resistant and it is therefore a good choice for outdoor furniture.

Cleaning

Do a general cleaning when needed with a suitable wood cleaner and soft bristle brush. Rinse afterwards with water and let it dry for 24 hours. Note: Wipe off tables, benches and chairs after use with a dry cloth.

Maintenance

As the wood is untreated, the surface will patinate over time and eventually turn a beautiful silvery grey. If you wish to preserve or intensify the original honey-golden color, use a suitable furniture oil on a regular basis. The wood is resistant to everyday wind and weather with or without treatment due to the high content of natural oils.

Winter Storage

The product is resistant to all types of weather, all year round. However, if possible, we recommend storing the furniture in an unheated room during the winter months.

Indoor Use

Remember to re-tighten the screws once in a while.

Outdoor Textile

Agora Panama is Oeko-Tex certified and solution-dyed acrylic fabrics used for upholstering our cushions and pillows. The acrylic fiber we use is a synthetic but cotton-like fabric with world-class features for outdoor usage, making it:

· Extremely color and lightfast

· Water and dirt repellent

· Free from harmful substances

· Mildew-resistant

Washing Instructions

Wipe the fabric with a firmly wrung cloth. In case of more obstinate stains, remove the upholstery and machine wash it at 30° C. If the upholstery is not removable, the textile must only be washed with a wrung cloth.

Quick-Dry Outdoor Foam

Quick-Dry Outdoor Foam has an open cell structure which allows both water and air to pass through freely. This makes the cushion dry exceptionally quickly—even after being soaking wet—with little to no need of maintenance. Moreover, the foam provides a firm and comfortable texture which remains the same year after year.

Maintenance

If exposed to heavy rain, we recommend placing the cushions upright for quick drainage. Soon after, the cushion will be dry and the cushion can be used again.

Wadding

Fiber Wadding is used as an instrument to obtain the intended aesthetic expression as well as reaching the right comfort level in the cushions. Wadding is made of carded thin polyester fibers and is mainly used in Skagerak cushions as a secondary filling.
